What Does The Controller Icon Mean On Xbox

I think it ways its a 1 player game. Full pad is 2 players. Possibly.

It says partial support. Perchance it means they back up a controller when you're in game, but you need a mouse to click go along the launcher. Having said that, that's the state of affairs with Fallout 3 and that just has no controller support icon in steam

No, I posted this because some of my games with such icon accept FULL back up of gamepad, from the start to the terminate..

Examples: Vessel, Shank, Shatter, Anomaly Warzone Earth, Jamestown, LIMBO

It's ironic? If so right me, english is not my first language.
Btw, I hateful information technology'south supported not only during gameplay (as Orcs Must Die two) simply likewise in every menu, so that you lot don't have to utilize the mouse once started it

Ahhh.....Full controller support ways, controller back up in game AND menus. Got it.

Bought Metro 2033 this weekend. Seems to accept good controller support as well.

It doesn't appear to be articulate to me based on my library of games. But going by the icons the half controller icon would mean partial controller suppport (ie some things require Chiliad&K in the menus) and the total icon would mean total controller support. However the games I own and their icons don't seem to match this. Limbo is fully supported only has the half icon and TF2 has the half icon and I can't get a controller to work in it.

That'southward exactly what I was talking about, my library too has those mismatch.

PS Nigh TF2, I know it'southward a Valve's game, mayhap they're working on it?

Panel gaming is unlike than PC gaming. PC gamers are accustomed to troubleshooting and tweaking and updating drivers to make things work. If you accept to modify the game to get the controller to work then by console standards its not considered a controller supported game.

To me, a situation similar that stands for a feature 'nether devolopment', so that has to be enabled past console, like a beta. And I would call that a 'partial support'

He didn't mention console gaming at all in his comment. What he meant was the developer'south console opened with the ~ primal. Like in TF2, yous have to blazon a command in the console to get the controller to work. That would be considered partial gamepad back up.

One of the devs posted about this somewhere. Full means y'all never need m&thou. Fractional you might need information technology for menus, launchers, etc. He besides noted that all listings are non correct. Many games marked every bit fractional are actually total.

Full Controller Support
Games with Full Controller Back up will work without a mouse and keyboard on hand, from installation to play and beyond.

Partial Controller Support
Games with Fractional Controller Support may crave a keyboard and mouse from time to fourth dimension, during installation or for express interactions.

besides if you enter to http://store.steampowered.com/sale/big_picture_release

you lot will see a huge banner on the right side explaining what information technology means

Whoa there gravedigger, you seem to have dug up an old corpse.

This mail is from shut to ii months agone, during the beta when the function was only simply added. That is why the folks here weren't articulate on the meaning, it has since been explained.
